Pallet Coat Hanger

My favorite type of project is one that involves pallets. The best part is they are super easy to come across and do not cost a thing! My entry way was looking a little bare and my couch was constantly covered in jackets so I decided to make my own coat hanger to help dress up the walls a bit. With a little determination this project was actually not to difficult to make.

To start off I picked out my pallet. I was going for a bit of a rustic look so I didn’t need the most “perfect” pallet. I laid the pallet with the braces facing up and cut all three braces after the 2nd board down. I decided to add a shelf on the top of the hanger so I carefully pulled a board off of the unused pallet. Next I lined the board up at a 90 degree angle at the top of the pallet and screwed it together. And just like that you now have your pallet put together!

I decided to go with a coat of white paint to pull the look together. The only money I spent on this project was the 4 hooks. I got them as a set from Home Depot for about $10 bucks. After screwing in the hooks the project was complete! Below is the final outcome and I love how this turned out. It added the perfect touch of rustic decor to my entryway.
